In 2023, its Barista & Customer Service aims to train 150 young people, , most of whom are people of color and/or LGBTQI+, helping them to feel empowered, access social service resources, get a job, and/or gain school credit.
“While working at FareStart I woke up to the idea that I could work anywhere I wanted for the first time,” says Jeremy, a recent graduate of the barista program. “Before I had even completed my training at FareStart, I realized the direction my life was headed had completely changed.”
